11 Apr FlightClaim.ro: we receive a claim every 30 minutes
FlightClaim.ro: 9 out of 10 requests for premiums received receive compensations from airlines
Although we are in the extra – tourist season, Romanian tourists continue to register an impressive number of claims on the FlightClaim.ro website. Thus, in the first 3 months of the year, over 1,000 applications were registered. Estimates for the April-September period are over 500 monthly registrations.
The highest compensation earned in the last 6 months
The largest claim earned by the Flight Claim team was to deposit 20,000 euros and was for a group of 40 tourists who were returning home from vacation in the Dominican Republic. Each of them received a compensation of 600 euros.
Similarly, another group of 33 tourists returning home from Bangkok has received over € 18,000 in compensation for flying for the airline.
The largest group that benefited from FlightClaim.ro assistance had 73 people and received a total of 18,250 euros to cancel their flight, Athens – Bucharest.
“We work with many travel agencies in Romania that offer this facility to their clients. When their groups face delays due to airlines, we offer them all the necessary support to get this benefit to their customers. Practically, with the efforts of our colleagues, we are able to turn the negative experience of delaying or canceling a flight into a positive experience and we get them between 250 and 650 euros per person, “said Cees Werff, FlightClaim.ro general manager.
One out of 50 claims requests goes to court
All requests registered on FlightClaim.ro undergo a rigorous due diligence process, the problem flight and the conditions in which it was canceled or delayed. To the extent that the airline’s response is negative, Flight Claim can appeal to its legal team to initiate court action, including in other countries.
Flight Claim has recently secured the obligation to enforce and respect the rights of passengers in lawsuits against Blue Air, Wizz Air and Tarom. Legal assistance is provided free of charge to Flight Claim customers.
Depending on the length of the delay, passengers are eligible for compensation between € 250 and € 600 per person, plus other expenses.
Less than 10% of passengers affected by flights canceled, delayed or refused embarkation are concerned to claim compensation of 250, 400 or 600 euros from airlines or specialized firms. This extremely small percentage is due to the poor knowledge of passengers’ rights, the difficulty of getting in direct contact with the airline, or simply the lack of time. The FlightClaim.ro process of getting compensation is very simple: the passenger does not pay anything, sends the flight details to FlightClaim.ro, which he empowers to get the compensation, and FlightClaim.ro deals with the whole process with the airline
